Amaro Montenegro is a brand with a long unchanged tradition since 1885. Created by the Bolognese young distiller Stanislao Cobianchi, who went against his family wishes of a career in the church and travelled the world instead, experiencing new cultures, ideas and ingredients. On return from his travels, Stanlislao experimented with countless ingredients and final determined the ultimate blend of 40 botanicals to create his amaro liqueur. One final element added to the liqueur is the 'Premio', which is the result of the meticulous micro-distillation of 5 botanicals and is the final and fundamental ingredient of the secret recipe. The result is a unique and authentic liquid; amber in colour with a complex aroma. It is pleasantly balanced between sweet and bitter

Best served as the signature drink 'Monte Tonic'. Take a tall glass and fill with ice. Pour in 150ml of tonic water followed by 50ml of Amaro Montenegro. Stir gently before garnishing with a lemon twist.
