A beautiful wine with an extremely good price / quality ratio. The 2015 volume has received no less than 92/100 Parker points and that is quite exceptional for a wine from this price range. The Les Alcusses of 2015 is a blend of local and French varieties, aged in oak barrels. For the 2014 this is around 30% Monastrell, 20% Grenache, 15% Petit Verdot and Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot fermented with native stainless steel yeasts and aged in 225 and 500 liter barrels of oak for eight months. In the nose beautiful tones of balsamic vinegar, thyme, rosemary and a hint of oak which is very nicely integrated. Fine-grained tannins in the mouth, aromatic, medium to full-bodied with beautiful red and black fruit. Highly recommended.
