Kirsty’s Gin is distilled using the carefully selected local botanicals chosen by our Master Distiller, Kirsty Black.
The kelp, carline thistle & blaeberry embody the elements of ocean, rock & land that surround our east coast, Angus farmlands. As fourth generation Scottish farmers we perfectly nurture the crops that we use to distill our gin.
We grow, distill & bottle on our single estate in a true farm to bottle operation.
Established in 2014, Arbikie Highland Estate is a single-estate distillery perched on the scenic east coast of Angus. All ingredients for Arbikie spirits are planted, sown, grown and harvested on the farm. Arbikie distillery produces artisan white spirits, Highland Rye Scotch Whisky and single malt whisky. Arbikie has adopted a unique approach to distilling by placing provenance and traceability of ingredients at the heart of the company.
The first spirit to run off the still was a potato vodka using Maris Pipers and King Edwards grown on the farm, which was followed by Kirsty’s Gin in August 2015. By the following month, master distiller Kirsty Black was producing single malt spirit, which will be laid down for a minimum of 14 years before being bottled as whisky. Further innovative products have followed, all using ingredients grown on the farm or in the local area.
