Situated in historic Tuscany, Castelgufo age their Riserva for 3 years, imparting a woody flavour and a savory spice characteristic. Full of dark cherries, cedar, and dried flowers.

This superb Chianti Riserva DOCG is made from a symphony of certified organic Sangiovese (80%), Colorino (10%), and Malvasia Nera (10%) grapes, set on rocky clay-limestone terroir.

Following an organic and biodynamic winemaking process, grapes are softly crushed, then fermented under a controlled temperature to express their character and elegance. The end result? True Italian excellence.

Tasting Notes
Pleasantly fruity with an elegant cherry character and a hint of dried oregano on the nose. Medium to full-bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel and a lightly tannic finish.
Pairing Notes
Ideally paired with red meats, such as chargrilled steak. Also makes a great companion to pizza!

Let breath and serve at room temperature between 16° and 18°.
About the Winery
Located in the heart of Tuscany between two of the most significant historical centers of the region, Pisa and Florence, the Castelgufo winery remains deeply linked to the culture of their land and food and wine education that constitute a fundamental step for the production of the company.

Riserva in Chianti means the wine needs to be aged for at least 2 years in barrel, and usually is reserved for the best grapes from an estate. This DOCG wine is aged for 3 years in barrel.
