Situated in historic Tuscany, Castelgufo age their Riserva for 3 years, imparting a woody flavour and a savory spice characteristic. Full of dark cherries, cedar, and dried flowers.
This superb Chianti Riserva DOCG is made from a symphony of certified organic Sangiovese (80%), Colorino (10%), and Malvasia Nera (10%) grapes, set on rocky clay-limestone terroir.
Following an organic and biodynamic winemaking process, grapes are softly crushed, then fermented under a controlled temperature to express their character and elegance. The end result? True Italian excellence.
Let breath and serve at room temperature between 16° and 18°.
Riserva in Chianti means the wine needs to be aged for at least 2 years in barrel, and usually is reserved for the best grapes from an estate. This DOCG wine is aged for 3 years in barrel.
