Riccardo Zanotto was born into a restaurateur family and so food and wine has been their shared passion for many years. They have also been producing Prosecco with their own vineyards that they farm biodynamically. In 2010, the quirky Riccardo decided to launch out on his own and create his namesake brand, Zanotto. Described as a "merchant manipulant", he buys grapes from both his family as well as friends to make several superb and different wines. This fizzy rascal makes a wonderfully festive wine with its notes of orchard fruit, citrus zest and fresh almonds notes. Like most Proseccos there is a touch of sweetness, but it is nicely balanced. A crowd pleaser! Robin Kick MW says "A blend of 90% Glera and 10% Chardonnay, Rivolto is an artisanally produced spumante from grapes that come from the greater Prosecco area around the hills of Asolo. It's a delicious wine that has no pretense but is complete fun from its label to its juice and is very gently off-dry but not sweet."
