Perez Cuz's very drinkable Cabernet Sauvignon has a a tiny bit of Carmenère and Cabernet Franc added for extra complexity
The Liguai estate, source of all the Pérez Cruz wines is located south of Santiago in the Maipo Valley’s Maipo-Andes sub region. Here the vines are planted in geo mapped blocks at an altitude of 1,450-1,700 feet nestled against the foothills of the Andes. This very drinkable Cabernet has a bit of Carmenère and Cabernet Franc added for complexity and is aged in a mix of American 60% and French 40% oak barrels 25% renewed each year. Juicy red and black berries on the nose and palate with rounded tannins and nice vanilla notes.
Style: medium-full bodied, fruity, rich
Maturity: drinking well now but could age for a year or two
