The Talo is another tremendous Primitivo from the ever-consistent San Marzano Winery in the DOP of Manduria in the instep of the heel of Italy. Grown on shallow clay soil on espaliered vines to shade the grapes from the harsh summer sun. A cool fermentation in tank for 10 days extracts lots of fruit and colour then 6 months in French and American oak to give extra depth and flavour to this really attractive very drinkable wine.
Style: medium-full bodied, fruity, long
