The Austrian Empire Navy Rum does not come from Austria, as the name suggests, but from Great Britain. There this rum is produced by the Albert Michler Distillery. Already in 1863 this distillery was a supplier of spirits to the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy. Albert Michler's Cognac Double Cask Edition is a Dominican rum that matures in ex-Bourbon barrels and 12-16 months in American ex-Cognac barrels. The ageing of the up to 21-year-old rum is carried out according to the Solera method.Tasting notes:Colour: bronze. Nose: Balanced cognac aromas, sugar cane. Taste: Light, notes of chocolate, spices, tropical fruit, cognac, mature wood. Finish: Long lasting, intense, smooth.
