The gift box includes a SANTAMANIA RESERVA GIN AGED SINGLE CASK 70cl bottle. Copper distilled in truly small batches from the finest Tempranillo grape neutral spirit and aged in small 220l oak casks, without any solera or transfer processes.
The oak casks, previously used to age select Spanish wines, grant surprising notes and rich exquisite aromas, underlining the fresh juniper taste whilst conferring its unique amber colour.

Thirteen fresh botanicals are used to elaborate a single batch of SANTAMANIA GIN RESERVA. Ripe fresh juniper berries, coriander seeds, orris root, cardamom, cinnamon bark, and angelica root are well-balanced with a selection of original Spanish botanicals: toasted almonds from Marcona, fresh wild rosemary and thyme, fresh Valencian lemon and orange peel and tender sweet liquorice.

Whereas most gins on the market are bottled as soon as they are made, here at SANTAMANIA we let our gin rest for weeks before bottling. However, in the case of Reserva Gin, we extend this resting period to over three months in oak barrels, in the peace and quiet of our own cellar, with no possible disruption or hurry.
One of our prime concerns is maintaining the right balance, so that the wood notes dont overlay the main characteristics of the gin, such as its clear juniper scent and flavour.
We believe the communion between oak barrels previously used for the noble task of ageing wine and our grape-based gin is outstanding. These noble elements recognize each other, as the barrels have never contained any kind of grain spirit before. The subtle notes and rich aromas that give roundness to our cask-rested SANTAMANIIA gin are, quite frankly, peerless.

Crystalline light amber colour obtained naturally through its barrel ageing process without any type of filtering nor artificial colouring.
On the nose, its aroma reminds of panettone, accompanied by citrus and floral aromas of less intensity with clear sophisticated hints of Spanish brandy.
Smooth and delicate spice oak on the palate with initial hints of orange and cinnamon that progressively evolve into a sweeter and sophisticated juniper aftertaste.
To fully appreciate the complex flavour of RESERVA Gin, we recommend to be enjoyed neat. Also in Gin and Tonic, garnished with a zest of orange and a cinnamon stick and served with cold neutral tonic water.
