Undoubtedly one of the hidden gems on Howell Mountain, the 23-acre Cold Springs Vineyard is the realization of owner Marc Mondavis dream to strike out on his own. Teaming up with his long-time friend and revered vineyard manager, Jim Barbour, they have created an outstanding mountain vineyard site.Located above the fog line with a southwest exposure, the rocky topsoil is made up of red and brown loam with pockets of iron-rich volcanic ash, limestone and rhyolite. This intricate mixture of soils produces Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with exquisite complexity and flavour.

Wine quality begins in the vineyard. The Revana Estate Vineyard is situated in a prime part of St. Helena where deep, well-drained alluvial soils pair with warm days and cool nights to provide an ideal terroir for Cabernet Sauvignon. Hands-on vineyard management ensures that the natural potential of each vine is realized and only perfect Cabernet grapes are brought into the winery. Once in the winery, Thomas Browns artfully restrained approach to winemaking allows for the pure expression of the Revana Estate Vineyard. Employing natural yeasts, gentle maceration and attention to every detail, Thomas crafts wines of purity, depth, character and elegance.
