A sophisticated Malbec-based blend with soft Petit Verdot and Tannat contributions. A muscular, elegant wine. Deep color, with rich aromas of red fruit and delicate spiced notes. Modern, harmonious and full-bodied, it is a vigorous caress that leaves a subtle, vanilla trail in the palate. Very persistent. Luigi Bosc Gala 1 Blend Malbec, Petit Verdot & Tannat Luigi Bosca Gala 1 is an innovating wine inside and out. Intense and bright violet red, with subtle and balanced aromas, red fruit and fresh spicy notes. It is agile and expressive, voluptuous, strong in the mouth, what adds great potential. Fresh and modern in the palate, vibrant, juicy, with very good fruit concentration. The well-integrated wood can be perceived in its persistent finish. It is a pioneering Malbec-blend, which still has a long life to run. Vineyards: A selection of the best plots of our vineyards in Vistalba, Carrodilla and Las Compuertas, in Lujan de Cuyo, Province of Mendoza, Argentina. Altitude: 1,050 meters, 820 meters, 960 meters Age of vineyards: 90 years, 30 years Variety: Malbec 85%, Tannat 10%, Petit Verdot 5% Recommended wine serving temperature: Between 15°C and 18°C Recommended pairings: It is perfect to enjoy with special dishes such as cotoletta alla milanese or pork fillet with mashed sweet potato. Alcohol: 14.5% Vol. 750cl Winemaking: The three varieties are vinified separately exactly the same way. The grapes are hand-picked, clusters are then sorted and destemmed for further grain selection. The must is macerated in cold for 3 to 5 days at a temperature from 10°C to 15°C. Then the must is fermented with selected yeast in small stainless steel tanks, with délestages and pressings. Once fermentation is finished, only the Malbec is aged in oak barrels where malolactic fermentation occurs and is then matured for 14 months. Once the ageing is finished and the final blend is done the wine is clarified, filtered and bottled. It is stored at the winery for at least 6 months before market release.
