Codigo 1530 Tequila is a premium tequila brand that originated in Amatitan, a
city in the Jalisco region of Mexico. It is known for its high-quality,
artisanal production methods and its commitment to producing exceptional
tequilas. The name "Codigo 1530" is inspired by the centuries-old codex that
prescribes the exact method of tequila production in the Los Bajos region of
Jalisco. This code was introduced to maintain the integrity and quality of
tequila production.
To produce Codigo 1530 Rosa, the distillers first use 100% blue Weber agave,
which is harvested at its peak ripeness. The agave is then cooked in traditional
brick ovens to extract its flavors and sugars, and after cooking, the agave is
crushed and the juice is fermented with a proprietary yeast strain. After
fermentation, the tequila is double-distilled in small copper stills to obtain a
refined and high-quality spirit.what makes Codigo 1530 Rosa special is its
unique ageing process. It rests for a month in uncharred Napa Valley Cabernet
barrels made from French white oak. This short maturation period allows the
tequila to absorb subtle wine notes and contributes to its pale pink color.
