KATKOOT PROSECCO is producted in the hills of Asolo (Treviso), it is a top-quality wine that respects the discipline of Asolo DOCG, the highest expression of Prosecco. It is a very restricted growing area where the combination of a limited production and hill position facing the sun guarantees a grape of great fullness and refinement.
THE BASE:
The artistic project linked to the base was conceived by Giovanni Leonardo Bassan, each base is handmade with nuances and particularities that make each piece unique and guarantee the authenticity of the product. Made with care by a small atelier in Morocco, this base is characterized by its coppery base.
Copper is the oldest metal ever used and its main features are its elegance, splendor and shiny appearance. Copper has been associated with the goddess Venus in mythology and alchemy because of its shiny appearance, and for its main extractive area, the island of Cyprus.
It goes perfectly with our Amarone because as well as copper oxidizes over the years, even over the years the wine evolves, expressing each year more unique and exciting features.
Each bottle will be so unique, with a combination of wine and base that will take on different shades, and will make Katkoot Amarone an exclusive piece. In addition to being the physical basis of this exclusive bottle, this design object was designed to be reused after consumption so as to become a physical memory of the Katkoot universe.

Katkoot is an Arabic word that originally referred to a small bird but then evolved within the language to describe something small and precious. Katkoot is the union of art and viticulture; two separate worlds united by a succession of emotions and ideas contained in every artesian bottle. Katkoot mirrors its founders' lives. Two brothers who embarked from opposing paths, Giovanni Leonardo Bassan (artist) from the creative world and Francesco Vittorio Bassan a sommelier from the family wine and spirits business, coming together in an exciting rediscovery of their origin for a product that is small, precious and rooted in their Italian heritage.
