The Tawny port are a specialty of Portal, and the house also wants to present a beautifully aged port with the 'normal' Fine Tawny, as one of the house's calling cards. Like the other port, it is a mixture of different vintages matured for several years, easily four to six years or longer. It is a delicious, well-balanced Tawny, not too heavy, beautifully ripened, but always with a delicious dose of lively cherry fruit, from the younger years in the blend.

In the glass, the port has a vibrant matured red color. In the nose notes of cherries with a pleasant pepperiness and a hint of caramel. On the palate, the Portal Tawny is beautifully grasped with nuts, chocolate with a pleasantly bitter, beautiful cherry fruit and a delicious vibrancy. This Portal Tawny is cool to serve and is a delicious aperitif and delicious with salted almonds or olives, also delicious with dessert, for example with a beautiful crème brulée.
