Fruity, direct and challenging. Moët & Chandon's fame is based on the consistent and specific style of the champagne house. The name recognition is immense and the style of the house can be captured in one word, namely COMPLETE. This is due to the good coherence, fine balance. The Brut Impérial is composed of around 150 different wines, extracted from chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier and from all parts of Champagne. It is a champagne without a harvest year, because the assembly also contains an important part of the reserve - beautifully aged wines from older years. Brut Impérial refers to the pleasantly dry taste (Brut) and to Emperor Napoléon's long-standing preference for Moët & Chandon champagne (Impérial, the perfect combination of alcohol, sugar and acids).

The Nectar Impérial is a Demi-Sec champagne with a slightly sweet taste that is described as an almost sensual, exotic and rich wine. The sweet taste is caused by a dosage of 40 to 45 grams of sugar per liter. All three grape varieties are of course represented in the assembly, but the noble pinot noir accounts for the lion's share. In get glass the wine has a nice fresh striking rich, golden color. In the nose the Demi Sec is pronounced with exotic fruit and candied fruit, honey and mild spice tones. The taste is powerful, concentrated, light, sweet, rich and full of a fine mousse. Not too sweet, by the way, but soft, rich and full - almost sensual. Because the flavors of candied fruit, mild spices and honey come to the fore, this champagne is easy to combine with dishes such as foie gras or blue vein cheese.

Remark: we only work with fresh bottlings and do not buy direct shipments that have first been transported around the world in hot containers and then become too old and then bought and sold at dump prices !!
