This traditional sparkling wine is made in the Franciacorta area, between Brescia and Bergamo, by Lake Iseo. The mountains and the lake have a favorable influence on the wine. The soil and the same grape varieties as in champagne ensure that this wine has become a formidable competitor of the well-known champagnes. Aging in the bottle takes place for 25 to 37 months, creating very elegant, internationally appreciated wine. It is a blend of young and reserve wines. Beautifully dry and fruity, fresh, berries, elegant wine with a fine persistent perlage.
Ca 'del Bosco is owned by Maurizio Zanella, one of the most important producers of the area, if not all of Italy. Zanella played a major role in the Italian wine renaissance of recent decades. The work of Zanella led to the Franciacorta area acquiring DOCG status in 1995. This status only applies to the sparkling wines according to the metodo tradizionale (the way in which French Champagne is made). With no less than 30 times the maximum score in the Gambero Rosso, Ca 'Del Bosco is one of the most appreciated and successful wineries in Italy.
The company is located in a spectacular modern building, beautifully situated in the hills and surrounded by 160 hectares of vineyard. Art plays a major role. The most modern techniques are used in the cellars.
