Of course we all knew that Andrea Bocelli can sing great. But I don't think so many people know that he and his brother Alberto run the wine empire. The winery of Bocelli is located in the beautiful Tuscan hills, near San Gimignano. Wine has been made here for more than 3 generations. And not just wine, on the contrary, really fantastic white and red wines. The Bocelli's produce only a limited number of bottles and normally these wines are actually only on the wine list of the better restaurants and only available to a very limited extent for consumers.
The Bocelli Tenor Red is a blend of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Sangiovese and 33% Merlot so it measures a Super Tuscan. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel barrels and maturation for 6 months of oak foudres. The scent of red berries and pleasant violets dominate the scent bouquet. The wine is full, round and elegant. Delicious aroma of cherries, cassis, sage and cocoa. The taste is intense with soft tannins. A balanced taste, easy on the tongue thanks to the moderate tannin and a balanced acidity that gives the wine freshness. The Sangiovese gives the wine spiciness, the merlot warm fruit and the cabernet sauvignon the fresh cherries. All in all it is understandable that this is the best-seller of Bocelli.
All Bocelli wines are produced according to the principle of organic cultivation (but because of very complicated regulations / bureaucracy are not certified organic). The grapes are picked by hand and no pesticides or other chemicals are used.
