One family: Antinori, one passion: Wine. The Piero and Lodovico Antinori brothers are the owners of the beautiful Tenuta di Biserna from Tocane. According to Parker: "Tenuta di Biserno remains one of the best kept secrets in Bolgheri" The Insoglio del Cinghiale is a beautiful blend wine from Syrah 32%, Cabernet Franc 30%, Merlot 32%, and Petit Verdot 6%. VThe vines are planted on a bottom of mainly clay. The harvest is completely hand-picked in September and undergoes a strict selection in the vineyards, after which it goes into 15 kg baskets. Further selection on the sorting tables in the cellars. During the production process, 40% of the wine is aged in barriques for a period of 6 months. The remaining wine is aged in stainless steel tanks. The wines from the barriques and the steel tanks were then combined and bottled and then aged for a further 6 months in the cellars of the domain.

The Insoglio del Cinghiale is a stylish wine, with lots of red fruit and nice balanced hints of oak. The wine is still young, but well balanced and with beautiful tannins. According to Robert Parker "One of the best wines made in Bolgheri"
