The La Fleur The Château Haut Piquat comes from the best plots of the estate. It is a wine that is round and generous at the same time. With its deep color, the wine exudes aromas of ripe fruit that harmoniously expand in the mouth.
After the harvest, the grapes are fermented for 3 weeks in stainless steel, temperature-controlled steel barrels. During the fermentation, the wine is mixed with the lees 3 or 4 times a day to ensure optimum extraction of the best tannins and a good color of the grapes. The wine is aged in oak barrels (50% new) for about 15 months. A beautiful burgundy wine with respect made from a beautiful vintage 2015.
Château Haut Piquat winery
Château Haut Piquat, Lussac Saint Emilion, owned by Jean Pierre Rivière, enjoys a beautiful setting. The beautiful house of golden stone stands on top of a small hill and has just been restored in a particularly successful way.
Jean Pierre RIVIERE purchased this vineyard in the 70s and immediately provided special care, such as picking in crates, maturing in oak barrels, one third of which is new every three years, ensuring the quality of the average 200,000 bottles produced every year. Step by step, investments and equipment work have made it more and more modern: in 1986 a new freezer room was created and in 1989 equipped with a temperature control system, a storage angle was built, and a comfortable test room was added.
