Discover the beautiful Jacquesson 742. Only on the market since mid-2019. The search for quality is the most important engine of the house. The Cuvée 742 consists of the 2014 harvest, which was characterized by beautiful grapes but with very low yields and late picking. The wines were vinified in large oak barrels (foudres), with batonage and the grapes come only from reserve wines and all from Grand Cru and Premier vineyards. The Jacquesson 742 is very complex and powerful, with a distinctive minerality. A champagne to enjoy now but can also be stored for years. \

The 742 has a bouquet of walnut, dried white flowers, saffron, citrus oil and crunchy orchard fruit, along with delicate notes of a fino sherry, it is medium to full, juicy bodied with an excellent concentration, spicy acids and a long, resonating finish . Irresistible.

After the harvest, the grapes are stalked and pressed and undergo a temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation with wild yeasts on old large wooden feeds (some 120 years old), followed by malolactic fermentation and aging on the 'lie'. After this, sugar and yeast are added to the wine and then it is bottled and sealed with a crown cap. Carbon dioxide gas (prize de mousse) is produced during the next fermentation. Only after a period of more than 84 months is the yeast sediment removed (disgorgement) and 3.5 grams of sugar are added (dosage) to meet the 'extra brut' taste indication. This entire process runs without any form of filtering and according to biological rules and regulations.

The champagnes from Jacquesson are the absolute top among the Champagnes. Excellent quality and excellent price-quality. It's not for nothing that the Jacquesson champagnes always receive a high rating from all wine institutes. The Champagne Jacquesson has received 3 stars in the classification of La Revue du Vin de France. This classification gives a quality assessment of the 1,300 best wineries in France. The judgment is expressed in stars. A rating of three stars is the maximum that can be obtained. The previous cuvee 73x and 74x have all received (more than) 90+ Parker points.

The 742 has received 93 + / 100 Parker points.
