This wine has concentrated dark fruit nose with an austere, gentle palate weight. Tannins are velvety and offer a slow-pronounced aromatic finish! Independents Note:It appears to be dominated by red fruits with lots of mulberry, raspberry and red cherry but behind all of this there are sweeter black. There is a lovely complex mix of black and red flavours on the palate the sweet fruit mix backed by a herbal twist on the finish. Derek Smedley MW 92 pts In this instance the blend consists of 34% Sangiovese, 20% Pinot noir, 31% Shiraz, 13% Nebbiolo, 2% Mourvedre and 5% Barbera. The excitement of Hannibal is about the different grape varieties and their resulting taste colours.Concentrated, dark and fruity with whiffs of oak and wood on the nose. Velvety tannins offering a sumptuous slow-pronounced finish, indicates plenty of promise for those who are prepared to wait.
