A beautiful Morgon Cru from the "Master of Beaujolais", "rock star of the region", one of the "Gang of Four", Marcel Lapierre. Gamay grapes come from 70 years-old organically grown vineyards in Morgon and made with natural wine philosophy.
Marcel Lapierre's Morgon 2018 is complete, balanced and concentrated. Lively fruit character, violets, red cherries with fine tannins. Enjoyable young and fresh or can be kept for years for maturation. Exceptional quality from another great vintage.

18 Points Jancis Robinson
Pale smudgy garnet colour (and beautifully simple label). This wine is so pure and gorgeous!... It's a great advertisement for minimal intervention and purity. Direct fruit and not a trace of oak. Long and reverberant. Already drinkable but there is no hurry whatsoever.
I should imagine demand will be depressingly many times greater than supply Jancis Robinson
